If your dog is still growing or is at the top of a range, sizing up is usually best. How to measure
Lay your dog’s collar flat. Use a ruler or flexible tape to measure from the start of the leather or fabric at the buckle end to the middle of the hole normally used.
Wrap flexible tape snugly around the widest part of the neck. If you do not have a tape, use string or ribbon first, then measure it with a ruler.

Still unsure?
The collar should be secure enough that it cannot slip over your dog’s head, without restricting breathing or causing discomfort. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and neck.
