I frequently left my dogs outside shops but now I'm down to one dog I decided to see if I could find a suitable product to make her more secure when she was left solo [as she's so friendly she'd go off with anyone...]. The Safely Secured products looked like they would be suitable so I ordered the leash and harness.
Both are extremely well made from very good quality materials. I'm definitely much happier leaving my dog outside when she has the harness and lead on.
The only downsides are that the harness is very stiff [I guess because of the wire in it] and I'm not sure whether a different size would have fitted better as it juts out rather than sits flush to her body. So, for me, it's more of a 'put it on when you need it' harness than one she can wear for the whole walk.
Also, it's a bit fiddly to reach the lock with the key but I guess if it were a longer key it might be more likely to snap. I was worried about only having one key but Matt quickly remedied that by sending a spare!
So overall I think both the lead and harness do the job very well, I just wish the harness looked a bit more comfortable but on balance the key is that they are functional.
PS It could be the new harness design will work better or I did wonder whether I could just put one of the lockable collars round her waist... it wouldn't work round her neck because she could slip the collar which would make it pointless!
This lead was purchased to extend the initial 1.2m lead we purchased, as the 2.4m leads were out of stock, and we were about to travel. The order was packed and posted within a day of ordering, but unfortunately it didn't arrive until after we left home - not the fault of Safely Secured, but the unreliable service of Australia Post.
Very happy with the entire product, and can thoroughly recommend.
This lead & lock is brilliant and has made us feel so much happier when walking our puppy.
After doing a lot of research at anti theft dog leads and finding a lead that is suitable for Labrador I purchased the safely secure lead for my dog as dog theft has been on the rise in the U.K. the lead arrived quickly and I was extremely pleased with the quality. The lead is very sturdy and strong and the instructions on how to set your PIN number for the locks is very easy to follow.
The lead words great attaching one lock to the harness but works equally as great when having one lock on the dogs harness and one lock on the dogs collar and holding the middle of the lead, this was a big seller for me as depending how excitable my dog is on his walk I’m able to walk him on a single longer lead or shorter double lead. Highly recommended.
I bought this with the harness so I felt confident to leave her outside the shops quickly. What a perfect tool to ensure awful humans don't take my little dog. Thankyou for producing these products.

The combination lock broke in just two weeks. It no longer closes properly, so there's no way to securely lock the carabiner.

Anti-Theft Dog Lead (Leash)
This is a good quality, wire filled lead with a hand loop, steel ring and locking carabiner at one end and a locking carabiner at the other end. This can be used to connect the lead to a harness or collar. The lead is a good length, feels similar to a conventional lead and works well with the anti-theft belt and harness.

My dog Ruby is tiny, only 3kgs. The lead is great though will be investing in a longer one. O really like the locks, they were easy to set up and lighter than a normal clip.

What an amazing products!!! I originally bought this product for a totally different reason but now not only do I want my dog secure but safe too. Our very funny and loveable groodle is an escape artist, so much so that even just a trip to the supermarket can lead to a chewed through lead and a runaway dog. Cute that he misses me so much he can find his way through anything to come to my rescue but its becoming a hazard and worry. After seeing safely and secure and looking at how it’s lead was made I just had to try it and see if my Houdini couldn’t escape no more. Well excited to say the lead is exceptional and has kept my best friend secure and safe. I’m so happy with this product I’ve ordered another and will be purchasing the collar to finally have my pet secure from humans and his mighty jaw. It’s the lead I never thought I’d need but totally can’t live without. 5/5
